I both Speck and Incase are good. I don't know why anyone would prefer or swear by one over the other. The only thing that bugs me is that the top lid cover, one of the little clips thats supposed to prevent the hardshell from unclipping, snapped off (top right). I can also tell that the bottom left one is slightly bent too much and will probably break off (the plastic has turned white). I can definitely attribute these faults to the fact that the lid was frequently put on and off.

I have custom graphics on my laptop that I wanted it to be seen during events, so I had to constantly remove it durring shows. I was pleased to find a clear version online that fit my laptop. I suspect he has either an older Speck case or he did not properly lay down his palm guard. Mine does too, but it has a little button to press the battery check thing. I am not particularly thrilled with my Speck case. The edges were not really cleaned up so I had to remove excess plastic before putting it together.
