The APC40 could be a really powerful VJ controller, but everyone who uses it is forced to custom map it using complictated tools like Bome's, and it gets really frustrating making it do things it should be easily capable of handling.

I have been able to send MTC from my soundbite micro via the 5-pin midi in port on the back of the mpd32, and receive it in Live. Is seems that there is some configuration requred using the Vysex editing software for the MPD32 (on os x, anyway) - and then it can work. The port preferences part of the Vysex software are very hard to understand. I'm not sure what is going on at all. I have no idea how it supposed to work, i just played around with some settings.

If you map the faders to something other than the volume of a channel strip will the channel strip not be mapped to anything anymore? Lastly, when you map something do those mappings remain where they are when you reopen the save project? Does anyone make multiple mapping presets for one project (1 for production and 1 for live performance, for example)? MIDI and Key mapping with Live is pretty straightforward.
